Directions to make hydrated cubes:
1. Empty the contents of 1 tsp approx (8grams) into 1 quart of water (distilled water recommended).
2. Let the cubes soak in water for approximately 8 to 12 hours.
3. Afterwards, drain off excess water.4. Once hydrated, you can place them in a vase and -- without dirt -- can grow plants without watering them for a month, or as a decoration. Water cubes dehydrate about every month. To rehydrate, just rinse them off in a strainer or colander. Place them in a large bowl with water. Let them sit overnight (or until they've regained their hydrated size) then drain any excess water. This can be done again and again!
To clean cubes: If you keep plants in your cubes after a while you will need to clean plant debris off your water cubes. To do this fill the vase (or bowl) with cold water, add a couple drops of dawn dish soap. Let them sit for a half hour, then swish them around then pour them in a colander and rinse them with cold water.
